7D/6N Amazing Cruise Komodo to Bali
Given the vastness of the Indonesian archipelago it is hard to decide where your adventure should start. So let us suggest that you start by joining us to experience the Komodo National Park’s dramatic landscape where rugged hillsides of dry savannah and pockets of monsoon forests contrast starkly with the brilliant white sandy beaches.
These World Heritage islands are blessed with uninhabited islands, secluded beaches, crystal clear waters, and stunning coral reefs as well as being the only place in the world where there is an opportunity to observe the legendary Komodo Dragon in the wild.
Komodo National Park feels like a destination that has been forgotten by time.
You will fly direct from Bali to Labuan Bajo where you will join Bidadari for your unforgettable adventure.
A truly enlightening adventure steps back in time to a prehistoric age of wonder and beauty, which lies at the heart of the Indonesian archipelago. The islands boast some of the richest marine environments in the world with coral reefs, mangroves, sea grass beds, seamounts and semi-enclosed bays. More than 1,000 species of fish, 260 species of reef-building coral, and 70 species of sponges are found here along with dugong, sharks, manta rays and at least 14 species of whales, not to mention dolphins, and abundant sea turtles. These islands throughout the park offer stunning white beaches and calm bays perfect for snorkeling, diving, and other water sports. These secluded areas are ideal for relaxing during the day, a beach BBQ, under a star filled night sky.
Day 01. Labuan Bajo – Sabolan Island
Welcome aboard KM Bidadari. You will be picked up from labuan bajo airport/ hotel to the harbor by our representative. Embarkation on to the KM bidadari in Labuan bajo harbor. Welcome drinks will be offered. Cabin allocation will take place before depart to Sabolan Island. Here you will be able to snorkel or ride on banana boat. The fish life makes this site more inviting.
Day 02. Komodo National Park – Pink Beach
After breakfast we will go ashore where a park ranger will escort us across the island for about an hour trek (approximately 4.5 km there and back) to get a better located spot where you can enjoy an amazing picture of the world’s only existed Varanus Comodensis in Komodo Island and its surrounding isle. After walking around to find the species from the Jurassic Age, we will spend the remainder of the day beachcombing and snorkelling on the beautiful “Red Beach” of Komodo with its amazing marine gardens. In the late afternoon we hoist the anchor and proceed to Banta Island.
Day 03. Wera
The morning will be spent at Wera where we will walk through the village and see their daily life. We will see the traditional skills of making the wooden Buginese Phinisi schooner similar to KM BIdadari. They also make the hand-woven ‘ikat’ a hand woven fabric ornament unique to Wera. The traditional shape of the houses and their daily life is something you won’t forget.
With lunch provided onboard the ship, we set sail to GIli Banta an uninhabited island and a perfect place for some excellent swimming, snorkelling, paddle-boarding and kayaking.
Day 04. Santoda Island
Arrive in Satonda island, the un-habitat island, which is separated by a narrow strait from the Tambora Volcano on the Sumbawa mainland, the site of largest eruption in recorded history. Going ashore we discover that Satonda its self is a small volcano as well and that as well and that salty lake field its crater. On this peaceful island, there will be free time for swimming and snorkelling or diving.
Some people believed that by hanging a small rock in the wishing tree will make their wish come true, and when it is you will have to return visit to the tree (that will be your next cruise with us!). In the afternoon we will spend time beach combing, beach volleyball or snorkelling in the beautiful coral garden of Satonda. In the evening we will witness thousands of flying foxes as they commute at dusk to seek for food in the main land. In the afternoon we set sail to Moyo Island.
Day 05. Moyo Island
Moyo Island welcomes us with its unique scenery which is very different from Bali. Sir Alfred Wallace discovered Moyo in 1800. He noticed that the flora and fauna of the islands to the west have more in common to the Asiatic species, while the islands to the east appear to be influenced more by species found in Australia.
We will visit a traditional island village, home to the Bajao tribe that are also known as “sea-gypsies” tribe. We will walk along the narrow streets in the village and experience their cultural life. Here we will also witness a performance of traditional music and dance.
In the late afternoon we hoist the anchor and cruising to Lombok Island.
Day 06. Nara Bay, Lombok – Gili Island
In the early morning as the sun rises over Mount Rinjani, we anchor in Nara Bay on the North West of Lombok. After breakfast we go ashore and our first visit is the tropical forest at Pusuk where we can feed monkeys and in a clear weather, enjoy the amazing view of surrounding forest and of the Gili Islands. We then continue to the local market Gunung Sari and go on to visit Lingsar Temple, a unique site that dates back to 1714 and that sacred to both Hindus and Moslems and proceed to Banyumulek to see how the local make a famous pottery product. Passing through the most famous tourist resort of Lombok, Senggigi Beach on the way back to the boat, we stop at Malibu the most fantastic view point to see the Gili Island and in a clear weather, also we can do snorkelling here. At night we will sail back to Bali across the Lombok straits
